For a quick and fun project, check out Dream Big, a hefty skein of 131 yards of Super Chunky 100% Superwash Wool, available in 6 fabulous semi solid colors. Free patterns included with the purchase, including the adorable Poof Hat!

Dream Big in Teal

Nuna by the Mirasol Project is a scrumptious blend of 40% Merino, 40% Silk, 20% Bamboo, with jewel tone colorways that shimmer and glow. This is a perfect yarn for any winter project that you wear close to your skin. Think cowls, gloves, wristwarmers, neck scarves, shawls and of course...sweaters. Nuna is a light DK to sport weight on a US #5.

One of our new favorites, Kaleidoscope, is a 'find' from our annual trade show visit in June. Kaleidoscope is a wonderfully soft, single ply 100% wool with a whopping 174 yards. When we saw the excellent striping colors in this yarn, we couldn't say no. Kaleidoscope is a great choice for felting projects and sweaters. Check back later to see the Jenny Watson hoodie I just finished.

Saving almost the best for last, we have received our Hiya Hiya Interchangeable Needle kits (US 2-8) and have already had to reorder. The kits come in navy and red, and have 4 coils available-16", 24", 32", and 40". You'll want the large Set when it comes in too...I promise.

Great Time at the Party!!

I think last night's Margarita/Ravelry Appreciation Party was a success. Actually, I think I remember that!! The wine was yummy, as was the food, the new yarn and the company!

Here are a few of the faces that showed up, in spite of the sticky weather. And it was great to meet some of the new people.

And a special thanks to Paul for offering the best wieners in town!!

More Economy Busters!

Paul wanted to pass this on to everyone. We truly believe that each one of us can make a difference and improve the world around us.

Trying to save money??? Check out Gaspricewatch – You can search you local area, or trip route, for the lowest priced gas. As summer draws closer it is reasonable to think that fuel prices will be around $2.75 to $3.00 a gallon. That’s especially painful as you are trying to scarp a few $$$ for yarn ; ) – so use the site to find the cheapest gas and save $$$$$

Looking to reduce your grocery bills?? – Look for coupons using websites like – Couponmom and hotcouponworld.

From Claudia:

When going downhill, put your car in neutral to save gas. She claims she is up to 40 miles per gallon in her Bentley...oops, I mean Honda Civic.

Fans are CHEAPER than air conditioning, and better for the environment.

Take all your little snippets of yarn and scatter them for the birds to use in building nests...adds a little color to the world and helps our bird friends.

See you at the shop soon!

Side to Side Summer Top

Here's the finished product of my newest pattern, the Side to Side Summer Top. This is also going to be a class on Tuesday Nights, May 26th, and June 2nd, 6-8pm. The pattern allows you to pick your own yarn, needle size, and stitch pattern, and it is made to fit you! I used two skeins of Araucania's Ranco Multi to make this one.

It's a fun pattern that can be made up for anyone from a baby to a full size person.
